I provide guidance for choosing the best colleges for the right reasons. Together we create a college list targeted with likely, maybe, reach, and wild card classifications. I recommend each student applies to between 10 and 12 schools, though we will come up with a plan that is most appropriate for your unique situation.

One of my favorite areas! I work with students to come up with essay topics based on experience and values that make them stand out. I provide numerous brainstorming activities so students can craft stories that make them come off the page to their application readers. I also edit and critique essays.

Navigating today’s continually evolving testing policies can be challenging. I can provide information as to what schools are looking for with regards to test scores for admission as well as for merit scholarship opportunities, advice on when to test or retest, and referrals to tutoring services or test prep programs.

Assist with staying on track and meeting all applicable deadlines for college admittance. Provide instruction and insight into the admissions process. Help students to distinguish themselves from others applying to the same competitive schools. Edit, proof, and assist in application completion.

Help students select classes, activities, community involvement or employment opportunities that will best display their commitment, talent, drive, and motivation when it comes time to apply for college.

Work with students to help them identify their career interests; offer interest inventory to see strengths both for academic majors and future professions. Identify colleges that offer majors that will help them achieve their goals.
